Description: constructed by volcanic eruptions, the mountain Misti and the city of Arequipa are a unique and inseparatable combination. It is climbed very often. There is no water on the mountain except at the Aguada Blanca reservoir. There is usually no snow either. The mountain is another one that was climbed by the Incas.

ITINERARY.

We take a 3 hours drive from Arequipa to Aguada Blanca. Here are a few tent sites at 4. 600 metres for the overnight. The next day we follow the path which takes a rising traverse, up some slopes to the summit.
The average of time for the ascent per day is approximately 6 or 7 hours up and for descent we calculate 3 hours. Here the transport is waiting for us to bring us back to Arequipa .

TECHNICAL INFORMATION.
Classification       : Easy
Minimum altitude : 3.500 m.a.s.l.
Maximum altitude: 5.825 m.a.s.l.

The best time to climb in this region is between April and September, during the Andean summer. During the rest of the year, it is also possible to climb here, but it is more likely to have some bad weather. The rescue police see for the safety of all mountaineers in the region.
